PCB sought more time in announcing T20 squad for world cup

ISLAMABAD (APP) Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday sought a few days time in the International Cricket Council (ICC) in declaring squads for the Twenty20 World Cup and Asia Cup.

The T20 World Cup will probably be held from March 8 to April 3 while the Asia Cup will soon be staged from February 24

Feb. 8 was assumed to be the deadline for World Cup-headed squad.

A PCB official said the Chairman had previously approved the squad for the events but the team management desired to observe players farther in activity in the continuing Pakistan Super League (PSL).

So, in declaring the squads PCB has asked for more time in the ICC, he explained, expecting the squad will likely be pronounced in two

In accordance with details, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Gul and Muhammad Rizwan are not unlikely to be dropped in the squads while Ahmad Shahzad, who smashed Karachi Kings with 71 runs for Quetta Gladiators in PSL, would be to make his position in the team.

Rumman Raees and Kamran Akmal happen to be a part of the team. Muhammad Irfan wouldn’t function as the portion of the ensemble because of injury in the match against Karachi Kings.
