What the law states is a tricky animal to handle. Trials, witnesses, evidence and precedent are part of a complex system which should hopefully result in justice. Occasionally, you’ll find hard and mistakes waters to browse. But what occurred to the West Midlands Police Department was completely absurd. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) repeatedly contacted the section, expecting to get a report of an altercation from Official PC Peach. PC Peach was unavailable to provide a statement, but that didn”t quit the CPS. Neither did the undeniable fact that Policeman Peach is a K9 officer. Discouragements were mounting on each side, therefore the section gave in a sent the next statement:
Policemen couldn”t understand why the CPS wouldn”t realize that Peach was a dog, so that they sent back this statement.
(H/T Metro.co.uk) Although it had been meant as a joke, The Professional Standards Department will soon be investigating the police department following the false statement. Clearly, someone should be examining the prosecutors who couldn”t understand why a German Shepherd couldn”t give a statement. Share PC Peach”s uproarious statement with others. (Great dog!)
